2015 Newsletter Xmas

What a year it’s been…Full of wonderful growth, support and Mother Nature. Once again she has waved her royal wand and we are seeing the weather dancing all over the place. It’s nearly Christmas again and some of us are facing extreme drought conditions… while others can’t get their shearing done cause it’s still too wet.

We wonder how all of us will manage this bout of changeable weather…hopefully we all will come through ok as the fear of an El Nino happening seems to be settling in. Even though we all are so busy getting everything done before the Christmas /New Year period, we sometimes loose sight of all the good things going on…

We’ve just come to the end of our busy and very rewarding on farm ram selling time … and once again we are left in wonderment and GRATITUDE as we hear the stories, and see the results, that our clients are experiencing with their flocks.

We really enjoy this catch up time with our clients, many who have become friends.  It also fun getting to know all the amazing new clients that are arriving from both recommendations and through our newsletters. This seems to make life flow and we feel that all is well in the world.

Lately you have been seeing a change in some of our communications…we have started speaking out, well ok almost bragging, about our amazing sheep. And then the new 2014 born Coopworth Rams Across Flock list from SIL comes through and…. our boys are dominating the results!

Over 4000 rams and 100 flocks were included in the analysis, and Carthew Genetics rank from 1st – 8th place on the DPP overall Index … and we’ve got 11 of our rams in the first 20!

We knew that we’re thick skinned … hehe … after we took part in a nationwide survivability trial.  It’s now proven again as we dominate the ranking on Survival with 1st=, 3rd=, 6th, 11th=, 26th and 47th!

Maybe it’s because our sheep are born and bred on the hills … our home farm is at an altitude of 550m. Bred tough!

It is such a buzz to see our animals doing so well! We believe good things can take a little more time, a little more effort, a little more focus than first expected … and these results show it’s all worth it!

But you know all this because you’ve already got our Genetics!

We’ve been increasing ram numbers steadily over the last few years and this year we still have some very good Coopworth and Coop Rom X rams still for sale …

Do you know of anyone who needs a lift in their flock performance and condition?  … anyone who wants to add value to their bottom line?  If you do then please give them a chance to experience our Genetics and become part of our extended family.

What’s in it for you? Well you could just be nice and help us out…(lol) …you could even buy some more yourself... (rolling around on the floor)…or you could pick up the phone and make that call…you know who too.

If you can do that for us, we will put a wee bonus in your back pocket. If you can help us out with this simple call, telling it like you have experienced, mentioning the details above etc, we will give you 20% of each ram sold … in your pocket. Yes, we want these rams sold…they are far to good to be passed over.

So after all this speaking out, sharing some of the results of our Genetic work, and asking for support, its time to say a very large and loud…THANK YOU!

On our recent, give back “parenting talks”, around the country we often spoke how you are a valuable part of our business…as I hope we are to yours.

So thanks for all the business, we hope you dry out …or get more rain! No matter what happens we hope you get some quality time with friends and family over the festive season.

Best wishes

Simon, Pascale and family
