Wild Deer in with our Coopworth Ewe Hoggets

Crikey!

Life is presenting us with quite a set of challenges at the moment.

Floods, market uncertainties, baffling regulations – it feels like everything’s a bit topsy-turvy right now. In this chaotic landscape, we’re all scrambling to find our way forward.

We haven’t been exempt from these trials either. We’ve faced our fair share of obstacles, from financial matters to land issues. Yet, these challenges have given us the unique opportunity to focus on the core principles of our sheep farming business – and that core is all about breeding robust, low-maintenance, and high performing sheep.

Our desire has always been to breed sheep who not only survive but thrive. We’re focused on producing sheep who perform – efficiently, and do it all in the most hassle-free manner possible.

We have gone back and reflected on what truly matters and that is breeding quality “seed stock.”

Our goal is for you to put our sheep out on the hills, knowing that they’ll take care of themselves while we attend to repairing fences, improving access, addressing erosion concerns, and even allowing us time for “mental health” days. This is a time for us to invest in the very essence of our business – resilient, adaptable sheep with strong fertility, great mothering abilities, rapid weight gain, and unwavering endurance.

Now is the time to dig deep and channel resources into the core of your business.

Remember, nothing lasts forever.

Signs of change are emerging – global demand for meat is on the rise.

Our industry is still thriving though we need to pivot.

If we keep showing the world our arse, we’re going to get kicked in it, so we’re going to stick a pole in the ground, turn around and face the world instead, step forward and start building for the future … and it starts with quality stock.

All our stuff is proven, backed up with records going back more than 50 years and we can show you the research … but you know all that … we’ve told you often enough LOL.

Believe in our sheep … believe in yourself – now is the time to invest in the future!

Our clients are echoing this philosophy time and again.

Just ask Richard Lambert in Hunterville, who attests that no matter his management lapses at times, his Tumeke sheep keep performing – they’re practically bombproof!

Champion sheep farmers Todd & Amanda Perkins from Tapanui, who won this year’s Country-Wide Two Tooth Ewe competition with their Tumeke flock … judges being most impressed by the “performance of these brilliant sheep”!

And a longstanding client from Rangiwahia,  recently secured an additional farm,  in part thanks to the impressive, consistent performance of their Tumeke sheep … they’re literally bankable!

We invite you to put our sheep to the test in the high country – let them face the cold and demonstrate their resilience, their capabilities, and what they can achieve for you.
